New Years Eve
[December, 2011]

So this handsome fella' is the love of my life. Little did I know that almost three years ago I would have been dating this man. My relationship with Matt is truly a gift from God and I am consistently eager to see how God will use our relationship to glorify Him and witness to others.

[June, 2013]
And this little "cutie patootie" is Matt's and my dog son, Trey (yes, he was given a human name. see below for how he got his name). Our story of how we attained this precious little thing took place on New Years day of 2012. Matt (who has the heart of a child) sought out to find a puppy (without his parents' consent, of course) and somehow persuaded his younger brother and me to venture out in a blizzard to secretly scope out the litter of half black labrador/ blue healer puppies. Despite my insistent "No, we cannot get a puppy, Matt!,"  I was the first one to snatch him up saying, "Can we take him home....pleaassse?!?" (haha, isn't that how it always goes!). Nevertheless, Trey is now a part of the family while Matt and I like to joke that we have joint custody over him as he stays with, both, Matt's and my families.

Fun Fact: Trey got his name only because I refused to name a son, Trey, given that Matt and I get married and have children in the future (not that Trey is a bad name at all, but if all fails and you don't agree on a hypothetical baby name, just name the dog it). That's why Matt is trying to get another dog to rule out my favorite girls name that he isn't fond of.
